French Country Cooking
All activity holidays are full board including a French breakfast, lunch or pack lunch and a evening meal including a couple of glasses of some local wines.
Isabelle will be your host, she will look after you and ensure that you have a great stay with delicious food all cooked from local produce.
A collective breakfast consisting of Cereals or Muesli with milk or yoghurt, fresh fruit, fruit juice, French bread and croissants still warm from the bakery with lashings of butter and jam, tea or coffee is served every morning.
Lunch at the house is ‘come and help yourselves’ to lovely fresh salads, cold meats, patés, served with various tasty chutneys and pickles, followed by a choice of local cheeses and more lovely French bread. There is also fruit or even a treat.
But if lunch is on the go, then packed lunches will be ready for you.
In the evening, after a cold beer or glass of wine on the terrace (or a cup of tea…) with nuts and crackers which the French call ‘un aperitif’, a 2 course dinner will follow (3 courses if you include the cheese). A typical example would be pork loin served with sauté potatoes and ratatouille followed by French apple tart. Then Cheese!
Wine from the many local caves is included with your meals (not breakfast!!)
You are welcome to help yourselves to tea, coffee and cool filtered water at any time.
Please let us know in advance if you have any specific dietary requirements.
